On December 3rd and 4th of 2008 at ACORE in Washington DC, Real Food Campaign Director Dan Kittredge spoke at the Phase II of Renewable Energy in America Conference with Joel Salatin, a well-known player in the eco/sustainable farming movement, on the subject of food and fee.
Bill Holmberg, our ally since the 80’s, most long-standing board director and our man in Washington, D.C., was just feted by friends and policy makers on July 16 with the theme An Officer, A Gentleman, and A Hero. His 80th birthday marks a lifetime of continuing accomplishments on behalf of sustainable energy and the environment.

On March 5th, Executive Director Dan Kittredge and Scientific Consultant Andrew Harley attended the annual meeting of the Biomass Coordinating Committee (BCC) of ACORE, the American Council on Renewable Energy. They were speakers presenting as part of a project in Nevada run by the department of prisons that will test tree growth for biomass production. The project is experimenting with a patented process of seedling starting called RPM and soil amendments including remineralization and Bio-char. The remineralization presentation was well received and many contacts were made for RTE with ACORE and other members of the BCC.
